Personally, I like The Empire Strikes Back the best. Because it was much richer, darker, very epic, and I liked seeing the Imps actually win a battle. I really liked the director (Irvin Kershner) and wish he could have been chosen for ROTJ as well. Choosing the Empire was not an easy one. I love them all so much.

Definitly tESB. For all the reasons Wildcat listed, and then some. It itroduced us to the best and most recognisable peices of music from the entire series (The Asteroid Field and The Imperial March, respectively). It climaxed in the best lightsabre fight of all six movies. Also the source of some of the most beautiful stills of any movie.

I voted for return of the Jedi, i just loved the feel to it, and everything about it was great, cause the story is coming to a close and you get to see what becomes of everybody. and the Ghost scenes at the end were cool.

My vote goes to "The Empire Strikes Back", although I must say that the original trilogy is my favorite, all movies are awesome!
