Post and talk about some of your favorite lightsaber fights. It can be from the entire saga. Not just the new episodes. I post it in the new episodes because overall the lightsaber fights are better in the prequels.  My favorite was in Revenge of the Sith. Seeing Obi-won and Anakin go at it like that, it was absolutely incredible. So much emotion surrounded that fight. I'd say my second favorite was in The Phantom Menace. I loved Darth Maul's fighting style and his double-bladed lightsaber. I'm going to have to leave AOTC out of my favorites. Yes, it was great seeing Yoda fight for the first time but what I'm really looking for in a great lightsaber fight is seeing the fight move to several different locations. Even though Yoda was flipping all over the place, the whole fight just kinda stayed in the hanger. My third would be in the Empire Strikes back. That one was a plain out classic! The moves wasn't nearly as good like they were in the prequels, but it was so epic! Father vs. son for the first time. And of course shortly after, Luke learns the terrible truth. (And so does the audience  . ROTJ is also up there. Agree? disagree? What's you favorite lightsaber duels? |

I enjoy all saber duels, although AOTC is at the bottom of the list, those duels were cheap. They had no emotion. Ep 3 was the most epic and emotional, with Ep 4 5 and 6 right behind as well as Ep 1.

I'd have to say tESB is my favorite. Everything about it is awesome, from the dialouge to the setting to the coreography.
After that, I'm actually going to say the Vader/Kenobi duel from ANH. It may not have been acrobatic, but it didn't need to be. As someone who has studied more than one form of sword fighting, I can say it was a truely believable duel between two masters of their art.
Next, is a tie between Luke/Vader in ROTJ and Vader/Obi Wan from ROTS. They both had their high points, and it's honestly too close to call.
After that, is Anakin and Obi Wan/Count Dooku from the beginning of ROTS, followed by Obi Wan/Grevious on Utapau.
Next, is Obi Wan and Qui Gon/Darth Maul. While it was very pretty, it suffered form the same problems as the rest of the movie (all sizzle, no soul).
After that, is going to be Emperor/Yoda, then Plapatine/Mace Windu.
Finally, we have the ending of AOTC. honestly, the whole thing was a bit disappointing, and Yoda bouncing around like that was kinda nice, but could have been much, much better.

I say simply, General Grievous is all spin and no heart. That walking tin can couldn't deflect a blaster bolt to save his life, let alone actually fence of fight ANYTHING like Count Dooku! lol

Number one for me is the fight between Obi Wan and Anakin mainly because I never seen a lightsaber fight take so long and stay so awesome  I also loved the lightsaber duel between Darth Vader and Luke in ROTJ. |

For me Anakin vs Obi-Wan is the 1st,2nd was the fight of Grevious with Obi-Wan,the last would be ummm the one at Phantom Menace,Maul got good skills!

I loved the Darth Maul and Obi Vs. Vader duel. I also liked both Vader Vs. Luke battles!

I would have to say that my favorite saber fight would be a tie between Obi-Wan and Vader in ROTS and Yoda vs. Palpatine. I like the one with Vader because of the physical fighting. The other one i like because it has so much of the force involved. It's pretty awesome. I for one would say that NO lightsaber duel in the Star Wars Saga is bad.

Id say my favorite was and always will be Luke vs Vader in ROTJ. Luke knew who he was fighting then and how Luke wouldnt kill Vader. I love how the fight was sort of Paralleled in ROTS Anakin vs Count Dooku, that fight i belive shows what would have happened if Luke did kill Vader.
