About to go into surgery

I was in a flip over car wreck in June and had injured my right hand badly. Everything has healed up fine with the exception of my middle finger. I lost a lot of bone in the top joint of that finger, which makes it lean over and is very crooked. Instead of a typical bone fusion (If I did a fusion my finger would be shorter and I would never be able to move it), I wanted to try something different. So they are going to put it in an artificial joint. It's kind of an experiment, the artificial joint is really meant for the middle joint and my surgeon has never done it at the top joint before so I'm nervous. I'm going into Lexington, KY for this tomorow morning (Mon.) with docter Favetto (he was with a group that did a hand transplant in Louisville).

The surgery was successful, my doctor said. We will have to wait and see if it is going to work out or not. Also, I will be doing a few months of physical therapy.

I had some brutal pain for a while, but I'm just glad it's over.

Yeah, From looking at your acounts a lot of you have been on while I was gone. But the only way to get you all to be active at all is if I start something. A bunch of lazy butts! J/K
