War with the Yuuzhan Vong

I love just about all the Star Wars stories throughout the timeline of the EU. But if I had to choose my least favorite, it would certainly be the New Republic's war with the Yuuzhan Vong. This is just like a movie that drags on too long for me. I've been doing some research on them recently and it appears that there are many fans that feel the same way about them. Some fans even go on to say that they are unoriginal and ruin the Star Wars universe. I don't think it ruins the Star Wars universe, but I could have done without it. If you know about the Yuuzhan Vong. What's your thoughts on them?

I don't think that this should be in the Star Wars' Galaxy history. It doesn't seem like Star Wars at all to me.

I understand what they were trying to do with the YV, I just don't like the execution.
